Leave Moshi for the Lake Chala area near the Tanzania–Kenya border. The visit centres on the crater-lake landscape and the viewpoints on the Tanzanian side. The road transfer and the walking programme are arranged around your meeting point, the group’s interests and the local access arrangements.
Meet the guide for the planned walk or viewpoint visit. The lake lies below steep crater slopes, and different walking options require different levels of effort. A descent towards the lakeside should only be included when the route and conditions have been checked. Tell us whether you prefer a shorter viewpoint-based visit or a longer walk.
Lunch and a rest stop are arranged in the agreed programme. A canoe or boat-related activity is optional and needs its own confirmation of availability, permissions and suitability; it is not automatically included in a standard walking day trip. The visit is also suitable for landscape photography, with the time spent at each area agreed with the guide.
After the visit, return by road towards Moshi. Confirm local access charges, guiding, transport, meals and any optional activity in the quotation. Share the details of onward travel before booking so that the return transfer fits the rest of your schedule.
