Leave Moshi for the lower slopes of Kilimanjaro and the Materuni area. Meet the local guide for the walking programme and set out through the village landscape towards the waterfall. The path passes cultivated land and vegetation on uneven ground, so comfortable walking shoes are more suitable than beach footwear.
Continue to the waterfall at the group’s walking pace, taking breaks along the way. Spend time at the viewing area and listen to the guide’s explanation of the surroundings. The path and the waterfall area can be wet, and the suitability of approaching the water depends on the conditions; swimming is not promised as a standard part of the walk.
The coffee visit introduces the local growing and preparation process. The demonstration and tasting are arranged with the host, allowing time to ask questions rather than treating the stop as a quick photo opportunity. A local lunch can be included when specified in the quotation, with dietary requirements shared before the visit.
After the walking and coffee programme, return to the vehicle for the transfer towards Moshi. Confirm the collection point, guiding, host arrangements, lunch and drop-off. Tell us if anyone in the group has difficulty with uneven walking paths so that the suitability and pace can be discussed before booking.
